New PH envoy leaves for US

The Philippines has sent off an ambassador to the United States, a post that has been vacant for the past year and a half since President Rodrigo Duterte assumed office. Newspaper columnist Jose Manuel Romualdez left on Monday for Washington DC to take up his post, almost four months since Malacaang announced his appointment last July.
