Alleged ‘narcopol’ loses in Tinajeros, Malabon barangay polls

Incumbent Barangay Chairman Alvin Maalac, tagged by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) as an alleged narcopolitician, lost his reelection bid in Tinajeros, Malabon. According to the Commission on Elections local office in Malabon, incumbent Barangay Councilor Ryan Geronimo won the chairmanship with 3,216 votes, beating Maalac by over a thousand votes. Maalac came in second with 2,151 votes, followed by village councilor Alex Centeno with 1,696 votes. https://twitter.com/krixiasINQ/status/99
