Magnitude 5.1 earthquake strikes Aurora

MANILA, Philippines – A magnitude 5.1 earthquake struck Aurora late Saturday morning, May 23, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs). Phivolcs said in a bulletin that the earthquake struck at 10:10 am with the epicenter located in San Luis, Aurora. The earthquake, which was tectonic in origin, had a depth of 7 kilometers and was felt in the following areas:  Reported Intensities: Intensity VI - Baler, Aurora Intensity IV - Palayan C Dingalan, Aurora Intensity II - Quezon City Instrumental Intensities: Intensity IV - Palayan City Aftershocks and damage were expected, Phivolcs said – Rappler.com
